The Bodyguard Returns To The West End

Here at Celebrate in London we are excited to announce that The Bodyguard will be returning for a limited run at the West Ends Dominion Theatre The Queen of Soul Beverley Knight is back to play the Queen of the Night, Rachel Marron in the internationally successful musical adaptation of The Bodyguard. The musical first wowed audiences at the Adelphi Theatre before embarking on a UK tour. Based on the unforgettable film of the same name which starred Whitney Houston, the musical follows former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer who is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge – what they don’t expect is to fall in love. The show features a string of Whitney Houston hits including “I Have Nothing”, “Queen of the Night” and of course, “I Will Always Love You” and is an entertaining musical thriller. Beverley Knight has become a favourite of the West End following roles in ‘Cats’ and ‘Memphis’, so don’t miss your chance to see her recreate this iconic role once again. The cast will also include Rachel John (Nicki Marron), Carole Stennett (alternate Rachel Marron), Mark Holden (Bill Devaney), Alex Andreas (Tony), Dominic Taylor (Sy Spector), Matthew Stathers (Stalker) and Glen Fox (Ray Court). Ensemble members are Faye Best, Pablo Ceresuela Torres, Carlos Ugarriza Crespo, Lisa Darnell, Charles Hagerty, Emma Joy Hopkins, Ibinabo Jack, Christopher Jeffers, Verity Jones, Phoebe Liberty, Raul Naranjo Garcia, Mary Lynn Tiep, Michael Wade-Peters, Matthew Wesley, Emmy Willow and Mark Willshire. The original West End production of The Bodyguard opened at the Adelphi Theatre on 5 December 2012, and closed on 29 August 2014. The production has recently enjoyed a UK tour starring Alexandra Burke.
