What is Fiddler On The Roof about?
Fiddler On The Rood is the story of a family living in Russia. Tevye is a Jewish man who works very hard to support his five daughters. The eldest of his daughters, Tzeitel, is promised to a butcher who has just started a life in the town. It soon becomes clear that this is not what Tzeitel wants as she is in love with her childhood friend, Motel, the tailor. This love triangle does not last too long when Russians turn up in their community and start wreaking havoc.
